COMMUNITY
Understanding and Celebrating Our Roots
Granby Somali Women's Group
Liverpool · Merseyside · United Kingdom
Community volunteers collected oral histories about Liverpool's Somali heritage through heritage picnic sessions. The stories and memories were shared through a celebration event, video blogs, a Somali-language booklet for older community members and a website, preserving knowledge that might otherwise have been lost.
