Mazanka Living Heritage Project

Students investigated the traditional Ukrainian mazanka mud-house technique across several subjects, visited nearby villages to study surviving houses, experimented with building materials and learnt traditional construction techniques by helping a local community restore a mazanka. The activity moved beyond studying heritage to helping keep the practice alive through real community work.
