O Merdeiro Living Heritage Project

Students investigated Vigo's O Merdeiro carnival tradition and related fishing, farming, oral poetry and music. They interviewed parents and grandparents, learnt from local associations and fish-net makers, and took part in a music workshop. The project connected students directly with community knowledge-bearers and helped them explore and understand local living heritage.
